"He was shown the smallness and tinsel emptiness of the little Earth gods, with their petty, human interests and connections - their hatreds, rages, loves and vanities; their craving for praise and sacrifice and their demands for faiths contrary to reason and nature."

spy kids hahaha that film visually assaulted me when i saw it.  it was a certain kind of not good that i cant put my finger on but it still holds a special place in my heart

I still like TPM (though it's flawed on numerous levels), but have no idea what I saw in Shrek 2.

Also Spy Kids was good, yo.

Shrek 2
i wanted shrek and fiona to both turn into humans

even as a child i was vain

to be fair fiona's ogre model is utter shit

then again most of the models in shrek are equally shit

Dun Blithe's Rick-a-Diddle
You enjoyed being traumatized? I don't think I ever made it through one of his movies without having an anxiety attack.

Cats Don't Dance was kind of unsettling too in a way. I probably watched it two dozen times but never became a furry for some reason. The sequence where he's singing on the roof of the taxi really affected me. Like the idea of something you thought was going to be great ending up being kind of horrifying once the curtain is pulled back. Just like Hollywood and greater LA irl.

and pretty much all the X-Men movies up til First Class which was the first one that seemed like it was directed by someone who actually likes making movies.

Although I don't know if it qualifies as a shitty movie, I watched it a year ago and it was still really good.

I think this was made by the same studio that did iron giant, but then again I think they also did an Adam Sandler movie so I could be wrong about it being good.

Gilthwixt

I still like it, but rewatching it as an adult had me noticing some bits that stood out as pretty lame, like the soundtrack or the one guy changing sides twice.
