These are mostly contrarian blogs because I find those more interesting, especially if I disagree with them (because I'm a contrarian).

More productive time wasters:
The Last Psychiatrist (Probably my favorite blog on the internet. Alone psychoanalyzes pop culture/contemporary society and critiques his/her own field. Heartbreakingly inactive.)
Slate Star Codex (Also run by a (less witty/badass) psychiatrist. Scott Alexander does logic on commonly held beliefs, including social justice. Currently active.)
ribbonfarm (Philosophy/business based blog run by Venkatesh Rao and friends. I mostly read it out of grudging respect for the entrepreneurial rat race. Currently active.)
Outside in (The original "Dark Enlightenment" blog. Run by Nick Land. Currently active. Also check out Unqualified Reservations and nydwracu (run by an ex-TBA member (thanks Gladius)) for more "NRx" writing.)

Less productive time wasters:
Insomnia (Alex Kierkegaard ruins video games on his review site/blog in the vein of HardcoreGaming101. Currently active but slow. If you're going to register, do so with a prepaid card. Also check out Orgy of the Will, where he ruins philosophy.)
Colony Drop (One of the few insightful anime blogs I know of. Currently active but very slow.)
Scaruffi (Crazy Italian man reviews pop music and movies. His political/philosophical writings probably belong in the first category. Currently active.)
Ishkur (Entertaining ramblings from the guy who made this. Currently down.)

Time wasters:
Play4Real (Satirical game journalism.)
Anime Maru (Satirical anime blog.)
Wunderground (Satirical EDM blog.)
FeedBuzz (Satirical social news site a la clickhole.)

I'll add more as I remember them. I might have to dig through my old FF profiles and Opera favorites though.
