The back alleys forum has changed. And not in a good way.


I remember that back when I first had an account under a different name, you could browse the forums and see straight away that everyone here was kind, helpful and would leave comments that were almost never spiteful, and only rude when needed. Since I've come back on, I can see that these forums are no longer a place where you can go and have a conversation without fear of being mocked or made fun of. Its not the Fault of Rtil, or any of the mods or admins, its the fault of the users. People never used to just post abuse or single words, they would put together proper sentences and think about the people they were talking to. Its probably gone unnoticed because it changed slowly, with no immediate signs, but since I was able to look at it from then and now, I can see the degree to which these forums have decreased in value.


  I think that it was much better back then, when you could get peoples honest opinion in a nice way, without any abuse of you, just criticism of your comments or ideas. I think that the back alleys forums should go back to being a forum that you're happy to post ideas on, not just stupid quotes which honestly have no real meaning and nothing to gain from reading them. I think that honestly, it should change. Back to how it was. Just because its grown, doesn't mean it has to get worse.

Its a forums dude. Were just having fun. When you want something commented on or critiqued, you post it in flash/art upload where it is generally commented on and critiqued. General forums are where we just shit around and bust on each other. It's really not a big deal

You can expect people to act like that when you leave a subject open for discussion. Obviously if you want criticism or comments on your art, youre gonna get it. Just when you don't give such a designation, then expect us to respond freely as we should since this is a f

um the forum is really great cause you can have fun with e-buddies and post pretty much everything you want without sucking up to each other and being like "I really like that drawing but.." when instead you want to say "this drawing really sucks because..".

it was pretty inactive and our top posters were two retards named 'darkoverlordtobe' and 't-bones'
