[spoiler]I guess one gripe I had was playing this game made me realize I wanted a more "mature" version of this, and by that I guess I mean one with a lot more evil characters and such. the only thing that really makes any character evil (besides flowey) is the fact they fight you to the death at all. Even Asriel if you caught him in the games epilogue state(he's allll the way at the start, I don't blame you if you missed him) after passive run says the surface is a lot more of a meaner place then the underground. "There's a lot of "Floweys" out there".

Everything down here is SO NICE, it's sick.

Yeah, I completely agree but I'll touch more on that in my longform essay.
[spoiler]Also, I didn't actually explore the world during the epilogue which is kind of lame of me because I'm usually disappointed when adventure games a la LoZ don't give you the option to go back and talk to everyone.[/spoiler]
Also, after unwittingly starting the game on "hard mode," I'm disappointed it doesn't continue beyond the tutorial. I preferred the alternate battle theme.

I just want to know what I have to do to start the No Mercy/Genocide storyline. I think I messed it up last time because I didn't kill the first froggit that Toriel scared off.

you literally have to kill every encounter you get.

and to make sure you don't mess up more, make sure you clear out places before reaching certain events such as:
[spoiler]the dead tree where you meet back up with toriel in the ruins
greater dog before the gauntlet of deadly terror
monsterkid at the bridge
mettaton's room at the end of the core[/spoiler]

Undyne was the last boss I managed to beat. Wouldn't recommend using a PS3 controller for that.
