I get an Afghan Girl vibe from this. Also Zinnia from Pokemon. The painting is soft looking, easy on the eyes.

Dust

You are also inspiring.

d-floe

dust asked me to release some sketches of my finished works so heres some stuff

ZennyPLUS

I spy some under boob, perhaps a little lewd.

Dust

Strangely I don't remember asking for them to be "released" specifically but hey I'll take responsibility.

ZennyPLUS

Release all dem sketches mang.

d-floe

That'd take me a while, theyre all hidden inside the files I saved, I never bothered to export the skteches

More kancolle cut-and-paste characters

[ uninspired joke about her holding two large dildos ]

i like the attention to detail on her hair, but i think in some other areas there could have been more love especially as you go down in the pic (like her foot)

I really need to make more time for drawing. I usually start at 8:30 and then I have to be done by 11:00

i'm curious about your process. i'd like to see how you get to a finished painting. is there a base sketch? redline? there are some anatomy problems here i think you could easily avoid

I start with the basic sketch and then I color over with flat colors and then I shade the colors

rtil

hmm i see. i still think you should paint underneath the lines first and then merge later, but that's just me. i feel like some of the cool nuances of your sketch were lost in the 2nd step

What I meant to say was I drew the colors underneath the lowered opacity sketch layer. I get where your comin from though.
im also kinda confused though, im not really sure where youre getting at?

i think some of the cool shapes you drew in your linework disappeared in the color , then when the lines are removed it's even more apparent. here's a quick draw over

i circled where it shows the most i think. you drew the hair with cool thicks and thins and nice curls. but they kind of got blobby and disappeared in the final image. on the right i drew what it might have looked like if you had kept some of those shapes intact. even if you take the original sketch and overlay it on your color i think it brings out some of that lost geometry

I see where you're getting at now. That makes more sense.
I'll try to experiment with that more on my next piece

cool. nice dynamic light, and keep pushing the shapes. it's definitely an improvement
