here's one to start things off, The Mysterious Case of Elisa Lam.

There are mysteries that are so eerie and strange that they boggle the mind for days on end. The case of Elisa Lam is one of them. In February 2013, this 21-year-old student from Vancouver, Canada, was found dead inside the Cecil Hotel's rooftop water tank in Los Angeles. The L.A. County Department of Coroner ruled the death "accidental due to drowning" and said no traces of drugs or alcohol were found during the autopsy.

complete with creepy video of her last moments known alive, bits of pieces of her blog and her struggle with depression, the case is nothing but dead ends - the toxicology report still remains missing, and nobody knows how she ended up dead in a water tank in a hotel with a very checkered past. the incident was so damaging to the hotel that it has rebranded itself as the "Stay on Main" hotel in an attempt to disassociate itself with the death.

(1978)There is this unsolved mystery by me where 4 kids were closing up the Burger Chef (Now owned by Hardy's) and were not seen in the morning. They were later found in the neighbor county woods, the boy and girl shot execution style multiple times, The girl manager was stabbed to death, and the black kid was beaten close to death and died when he was thrown down the side of a hill into a tree.
The case is still unsolved and there are still investigators that are trying to figure it out.

This one I can't say for sure if it is fake or real, but I have been researching it for the past few weeks. There seems to have been ritualistic killings in a cinder block room deep in the quarry system in October in 1969, 1979 and 1989. Police find animals sacrificed in there every once in a while, but there hasn't been a human death since 1989. The first killing in 1969 was 9 deaths while the last in 1989 was 1.

The creepy part is that I have always passed this place as a kid when we would head down to my uncles in the summer. We would even go inside it to look around. We would find fires lit in there with bones, feathers, trash, etc. We assumed that the bones were chicken bones. Parts of the quarry were fenced off  and even cinder blocked off entirely (except for a door in the cinder)

I am hopeing to visit there this spring or summer to check it out again, alond with a tomahawk, other people, and a billion flashlights.

To me it seems like a known to be mentally ill woman staying in a "shitty" hotel has a psychotic episode.  Wanders in a malfunctioning elevator with a camera.  Then finds a fire escape, goes on the roof, and makes her way into a water tank that clearly has a hatch on the top.  If the water level was low enough that she couldn't raise her arms to pull her self back up then that tank is very easily a death trap.  Especially if the water is just high enough for her to not be able to keep her head above water while standing.

The news reporter tries REALLY hard to make it sounds more mysterious than it actually is, if you ask me.
"The ONLY way onto the rooftop is through a LOCKED and ALARMED DOOR...oh and also there's a fire escape..."

He also tries to make it sound like the only way into the tank was to cut a hole in it with a saw.  But I think that was just to drain the water and then pull the body out. That's looks a lot like a hatch on the top and obviously you can't drain water from the top of the tank.  I don't think anybody was too excited to just hop in it either.  Cutting a hole is much safer.

I wasn't able to today because I got their late, but I was going to visit the city and state library to find the records on it.
If they did not then I was going to plan on going to the state police records. If all else fails I'll just go to the Milltown police or if there is none, the county sheriff.

About 3 or 4 years ago I used to work in an electronics department at a Wal*Mart during the Christmas rush.

It was really busy when this smelly old guy came up to me and asked if I could unlock the case where we kept SD cards, I didn't mind but there was a pretty big line up. He moved really slowly as if he was having trouble walking, hobbling from side to side like some kind of man-penguin.

Anyway, I got the item he requested and he asked to pay with debit card though - it was then that something happened I don't think me or anyone else in line behind him was prepared for. The guy just fall asleep while trying to pay as if he had narcolepsy or something. Not so bad, kinda awkward BUT no big deal right? Well you're wrong because he straight up shit himself right there and it was dripping down his pant leg onto the floor even.

So the guy behind him reluctantly taps his shoulder to wake him up, and he just takes his debit card out (never actually paying for what he came for, or taking the item with him) then he just walks off in a confused daze as if he forgot what planet he was on. So I watched him leaving a trail of shit down the isle as he leaves to look at stuff in the hardware area.

Anyway, long story short I don't work there anymore.

Some say he still wanders wal*marts around the land during Christmas time.

Once when I was a teenager and I was browsing the internet on 56k connection, my mother opened the garage and left to do something. Apparently she forgot to close the garage and the door in the kitchen leading to the garage.

I did not know this.

So I'm merrily typing away listening to 80kbps quality mp3's on windows media player and posting on old horrible websites like fark and imockery and stupidvideos. At one point I hear a rustling sound behind me, but it was VERY subdued due to the music and sound so I did not pay any attention to it.

An hour or so later my mother gets back.
Apparently she had left her belongings sitting on the table which is right near the door to the garage.
They are no longer there.
She calls our neighbor across the street, whom I often did babysitting for.
Neighbor says she saw a young man enter the house half an hour earlier and assumed it was a friend of mine.

Apparently a robber waltzed into the house and stole our shit only a few feet behind me.
Another hour later the cops call.
They are out between the small pond and massive lake next to the house.
We can see the sirens in the dark.
We all go running out of the house.

Flashlights turn on and we see the cops taking some coked up looking hoodrat to a squad car.
Apparently he'd been stealing from houses on our street and someone caught him doing it.
He had a knife on him as well.

Cops shine a flashlight into the muddy shallows of the duck pond.
There's all our shit, sitting in mud about a foot underwater.
He had tossed it in there right before the cops found him.
He hadn't even taken anything valuable out of the purse or anything expensive.
Just thrown it all into the pond immediately.
The cops had found my mother's cel phone in the grass which is how they were able to call the house.

And that is the story of how we were robbed while I sat on the internet with someone stealing our shit standing literally right behind me.
