i dont really know where to start but i'm on episode 25, my head hurts, and i'm not sure whether it's a really immersive and well detailed plot or it's just inordinately stupid, and i'm looking at layers that aren't actually there

when i say 'i dont really know where to start', i mean with this thread, not that i've just jumped into watching it at episode 25

it's an alternate take on the series that revolves around the romantic subplot

not a lot of mech action involved, but it's also devoid of the whole "duugahhghgh why am i a worthless piece of shit" shtick

if you really want some closure watch 'end of evangelion', personally i think eva is overrated trash. the only good thing i have to say about is that the rebuilds have excellent animation. otherwise it's not worth watching

one of those shows that i got a glimpse of as a kid and they traumatized me because of all the violence and some weird scene with the naked lady coming onto shinji

i feel like i have to try it out because it's such a classic but i'm stalling

generally most people like eva

i can sort of understand why self-loathing japanese youth like it, but i have a harder time seeing how foreigners relate to shinji in any way. even in 8th grade when i was a fucking loner and i watched eva for the first time i still couldn't stand it
