my girlfriend brought this game home for me before i even knew it had been released. as to be expected, it's great fun. are any of you planning on adding this game to your collection?

i actually own a 3ds now so i could get this if i wanted. but, is it better than sega allstars racing transformed?

mario kart 8 is wii u only

mario kart 7 is 3ds only

and i'd say sonic all stars racing is a bit more intense as far as cart racing goes, that being said, i am really enjoying mario kart 8 as much as i enjoy sonic all stars racing

also the tracks in mario kart 8 are not just flat like in past games, there's a car mode that lets you traverse walls and ceilings as the track twists and turns so you're actually racing upside down

I never really enjoyed a mario kart game since 64 but this one looks like they really did it right. the graphics, at least, are amazing. don't know about the rubberbanding.

My friend got this today and we were playing for a good few hours. The new tracks are really trippy and kind of disorienting, but overall it's a pretty fun game. It doesn't feel that much different from Mario Kart Wii though.

i have like 15 hours in this game right now and i can honestly say it's probably the one thing that has made me feel justified in owning a wii u

also i got pikmin 3 for free because of it so that's cool i guess

also also it's better than allstars racing imo
