Like the title says  X)  Thought I'd post some of my older artworks here.

Pretty old sketch I did of a Mega Man character known as Bass.EXE:

your two graphite works could use some stronger outlines around shapes to define volume and form. otherwise they're great. i have heard of project gakuen before..
the photoshop piece is good, i think the background is competing with the figures we should be focusing on though.

ProjectAccord

Thanks.  Yeah now that I look at it I see that too, that a lot of the shapes aren't that visible...I'll have to accent my shadows a little darker next time

I also admit to going overboard all over that digital work.  XD  I didn't try to have a visual focus on any characters but drawing the image with more focus on one part rather than none at all definitely sounds better.  Thanks again for the input.

ProjectAccord

Thanks athing!  The first two I did with mechanical pencil, I have nothing else in the house and my charcoal was ground down to nothing.  XD  The third I did on Photoshop using standard brushes...I'm no good at using filters yet  :I cry:

rtil

Personally I would avoid filters. Expirement with some of the other brushes like the oils and watercolors.

I fucking LOVE the expresion on the Project Gakuen one^^

Thanks Cupz.  Ya, I used a picture of the musician Richard D. James as a reference...on one of his albums he's got this freakin' INSANE grin that I really had to struggle to capture correctly.  XD

rtil, I do have previous experience using some filters, and yeah in retrospect I do see what you mean about avoiding them.  Tried it in the past and they didn't really fit in with my art style.  Although there were a notable few that turned out pretty good.  XD  Thanks again for the advice.

Here's a very recent pic I did where there's like, no focus at all.  It IS a group pic after all XD  Anyhoo, this is a pic done where I'm still kind of new at textures like metal and dirt and water and the like.

rtil

haha, these are sheezyart people. i can recognize some faces. as we fade into the BG i'd make everything less saturated (easy to do with hue/saturation layer and tamper with the mask), to get that haze as we enter the background. otherwise with everything the same saturation i get no sense of depth.

also, the sand castles deserve outlines since everything else has them. just tone them down or make them a darker color of the sand. also thinner.

Thanks again rtil.  Masks and saturation huh?  Sounds pretty interesting, I've never worked with those before.  I'll definitely give them a try in my next pic though.

Another more recent pic I did for a friend, featuring a Mega Man character as a cat.  I tried defining the edges a little more but I'm not quite sure if I did it right...

So what do you guys think?
