for those of you who use tablets on a regular basis, you're familiar with the feeling of lines not always coming out the way you wanted to draw them, which is usually not as smooth as you were hoping for. this gets worse on the edges of tablets where the calibration starts to get fuzzier. i always tried to alleviate this by keeping my drawing area near the center of my screen and tablet.

but today i read about this program called 'lazy nezumi pro' which claims to be able to smooth your linework while you're drawing without any lag. it runs as a hook in the background while you draw in your program of choice. i was pretty skeptical of this but here's some quick tests i ran with and without it

everything on the center red line and to the left of it was done in the bottom left hand corner of my tablet with nezumi pro off, everything to the right with it on.

i also tested this in flash and it works, which sort of helps with the crappy lines that flash makes when you lift up the pen. i suspect it will work in pretty much any art program if it can work in flash.

you get a 30 day trial so you get plenty of time to test it, although it runs at retail of nothing cheaper than $10 for a student license. although for that price i think it's easily worth it considering what it can do. if you have problems with shaky lines in photoshop/etc, try it. http://www.lazynezumi.com/
