Dreamlie is a competitive turn base strategy game. The inspiration for the game is a game called "Criminal Girls" and Fighter games. Like the inspiration material the gimmick for this game is not strategy but rather how to think on ones feet, the battle system is somewhat luck based. Each turn your characters will have a random attack of theirs available to them which you can combine together to make for powerful attacks.

Dreamlie was initially suppose to come out for the ps vista but now I'm thinking perhaps 3ds would be more appropirate or maybe just on the computer would be best however I can hold off on that idea for the moment. As of right now it is still in early development stage but doesn't mean I'm not doing my best to make it. I'm just new at this sort of thing ok so it takes a while longer

I'm always looking for help so if you'd like to contribute to the game please feel free to contact me

Not really just look at the video on youtube of "Criminal Girls Boss" it's basically like that.

As for how you can help
...hmmm...
I could always use a co writer of sorts (you know to keep me from making the story boring and to make sure everything is consistent and add into your own ideas as well)
well you seem like a really good artist yourself how would you feel about  drawing the monster art?

for example:
this is smilee that was smilee's sprite art
this is smilee that is smilee's monster art

Basically what I would need from you is go through the playable characters sprites and make your own rendition of the sprites. It's not that big of a task to do as of right now for the demo version I would just need you to do 30 monster art.

or perhaps you have some other talents hidden away?

i really enjoy working on stories and stuff relating to character concepts, so yes yes i'd be happy to help with those!

and could i get a link or a file with the 30 monster sprites? i'll also need to know the specifics like how large you would want the images to be, if theres a particular style you are aiming for with this ect ect

No problem just go to my wysp page front page all the one's that need monster sprites done are right there http://www.wysp.ws/jam1220/ as for size the sprites are usually around 120x130 or so with exceptions when I feel is necessary. Sooooooo...how about...  200x235 ish (feel free to adjust size as you see fit) if you have any question with the designs feel free to hit me up I like explaining about oc anyways

Also would you like to join the dropbox group? if so I'd need an e-mail you're comfortable with letting others message you on

Hello everyone I just wanted to share some updates for my game I'm developing with some peeps

-The main sprites for the playable characters from the demo are complete
-I am currently working on the special effects now
-The background artist is having a bit difficult time but there should be at least one stage that can be used for the demo
-There are 5 tracks for music so far 3 of which can be used for battle music

Hopefully sometime by the summer we'll have enough stuff done so we can start programming a demo

ps. Soup never gave me any info, so whenever you find the time please message me

I'd be more than happy to help out with storyboards/character backgrounds, I love projects like this and it'd break up all the science revision I have to do over the holiday aha. I've done quite a lot of writing previously, so if you need someone to bounce ideas off, or things typed up just ask.

The assistance is very welcome and appreciated however as for the demo version the writing is a simple arcade mode: Filler fights, rival fight, boss fight with tid bits of teaser info about the main game. The demos purpose is to show people we do have a functioning game that they would be interested in and giving money towards.

However when the main is properly funded for writers will be welcomed. The outline for the storymodes have been drafted up however they need to be filled out more with more details.

So at this moment writers along with voice actors, while they are very much so desired are not at this time really necessary
