Hey, I'm not sure if all of you watched the new episode of South Park, but if you did, what did you think about it?

Personally, I have to say that the opening felt really out of place to me. I liked the aesthetics of it and all, but it looked nothing like South Park to me.

Other than that, I thought the episode was pretty good when it comes to humor. It didn't feel like one of the "low" episodes but it wasn't great either. It was slightly above average I think.
One thing that annoyed me heavily in that episode was the driving scene with the real life background though. That seemed awfully off.

Your thoughts?

jesus christ sorry i didnt even know they were still making episodes

"He was shown the smallness and tinsel emptiness of the little Earth gods, with their petty, human interests and connections - their hatreds, rages, loves and vanities; their craving for praise and sacrifice and their demands for faiths contrary to reason and nature."

"...it stimulates the part of the brain called "shatners-bassoon", and that's the bit of the brain that deals with...time perception..."

rtil

i don't think trey and matt have any plans to end south park any time soon. every time they are asked they always say it's still something they want to keep doing.

i guess ive just been out of the loop in that sense, ill have to try and figure out where i stopped watching

now i'm thinking about what this would actually be like and i can't even imagine something bad enough

i'm picturing a mixture of my little pony, least i could do, CAD and the big bang theory

BluPhoenix

i thought cad was just big bang theory in cartoon format
[12:59 AM] elm: yea honestly if you dont want to cum on elmer fudds bald head whats wrong with you
[07:49.46] <+slack> cum erupts from the dick at an alarming rate
[07:49.59] <+slack> it will blast off and slap the wall at like 40 mph

rtil

in a lot of ways it is, although CAD was for the fedorabro audience, whereas big bang theory is for the general populace to get their faux-nerd stereotype culture edutainment dose. most people who watch the big bang theory probably don't even know what a webcomic is.

well yeah, why would they. They love doing it and get paid a ton of money.

also soup, part of why you were out of the loop was probably because they had an unusual long pause between seasons, due to Book of Mormon coming to the UK.

New episode was pretty enjoyable imo. It was partly about Minecraft, but not enough so that it would be annoying to people who don't know the game.

on the murder porn episode, i thought it was hilarious. they hit on many topics at once and they're really good at doing that. the role reversal with the kids blocking parents from tv shows was brilliant. also "boo wendy testaburger boooo"

totally agreed. Also, I will steal that "boo wendy" joke some day when people forget about it lmao. Just like I stole the "whatever, fuck you" joke.

The newest episode I didn't like too much. It wasn't bad at all, but I guess I was just way too distant from it cause it was a very american topic.

Alright, the new episode of South Park is probably one of the best in recent seasons. It's not really clever or meaningful, but funny as dicks. Go watch it.

i liked it, although i thought it was disappointing that cartman didn't get punished in any way for doing what he did. he basically got away with all of it

not always, no. sometimes when cartman tries to get away with a scheme of his, he doesn't realize the underlying consequences of his actions. like when he thought he was stealing treasure from a cave by ingesting it all trying to hoard it for himself when it was really fake plastic treasure, or when he spent his $1 million in inheritance on a theme park for himself, only to slowly have to let more and more people in to pay for staff and maintenance, and when he sold it back out of anger the IRS took all his money because he didn't pay his taxes, or when he tricked butters into thinking he was a robot so that he'd tell him his personal secrets, only to find out that butters had a much worse secret about cartman that ended up coming out at the end of the episode in front of his entire class. in all those cases, everything cartman planned ended up backfiring for him. and those are just 3 episodes. there are many more.

that's the thing about cartman - he'll go to any lengths to prove a point or look out for himself, and the payoff is supposed to be that it doesn't work out for him in the end, and the person he had been screwing around with the whole episode gets the last laugh.

new episode was pretty fucking good as well. I think that South Park might be on an upswing here, two pretty good episodes in a row is rare these days, sadly. And with the last one seeming to be a 2 parter, it might be 3 good episodes in a row.

Also, the pre-order joke in that episode was hilarious.
