it distresses me how badly 'decline of video gaming' has aged

well that was never funny to begin with so not much of a loss there really

yeah at the time i thought it was incredible how much a couple of kids could pull off but in retrospect that series was as bad as a couple of episodes of family guy about video games produced using entirely tweens. it was cool how they had minigames in the preloader though.

Also they don't air these commercials outside of the US (Not sure about Britain, Canada, Australia etc. but for me it's kind of a exclusive internet-thing) and most of these videos mainly went viral online on youtube and other platforms and quickly reached a memetic/classic status. Let's be honest; who in our age group actually watches television regularly anymore, let alone the commercial breaks? Even if I lived in the US I would probably have discovered it online rather than on tv.
I had no idea that these commercials were so recent until you mentioned it but oh well... can't be bothered to do research for every post that I make.

i only played flash games on kongregate.com when i was still in middleschool / highschool. PR2 is slowly losing it's population and SF:DG is completely gone due to hackers. planetarion looks cool but im assuming its way before my time :p
