FF xiv Realm Reborn

Well, as the title states has anyone been keeping up with the new Final Fantasy mmorpg, hopefully it will be better than its prior release from 2011.  I have played a few beta tests and am kind of hyped to be honest.  It has many improvements from the original especially with the ui elements.  Anyone have any thoughts on the subject?

Yeah, you have a point.  I was really rather saddened at the state of the first one.  I bought the collectors edition and everything.  But it does look as though they have actually put some time and thought into this version.  So far it looks pretty good.  It looks like it is much more stabilized performance wise also compared to the last.

is this the mmo that was so bad that sony issued a public apology about how bad it was?

Yeah, it was Square Enix.  They gave away so many free months of playtime to get people to play.  I played about a week and a half of it before quitting.  It was really kind of sad.  But like I said, Realm Reborn is really looking good.  I am just hoping people are willing to come back to it to see the improvements.  The first one was just so rushed.

same. From what I've heard, they fixed almost everything that was wrong with the old MMO and improved on everything that was right with it.

well, if i hear good enough things about it, i might be tentatively interested. an mmo has to be really fun to appeal to me, and even then, it's rare i spend money on one (as the only two mmos ive ever really been invested in were spiral knights and now planetside 2, both free games). still though, i like final fantasy, so we'd have to see
