the only thing that really set them apart from other animation studios imo was the writing
now that they're making films with shittier scripts/storyboards, they're just like any other major 3d animation studio

its obvious theyre doing it for money, cars 2 made way more money than their other movies, but its just weird that all of a sudden they're selling out and making a bunch of sequels when they went like 15 years without really doing that at all. they were the prime example of a good animation studio setting the bar for everyone else and they just decided to give it up.
