He was just the type of guy who didn't give a shit about what people thought about, just how he thinks of society in general. However, his antics on TBA were rather obnoxious and started some arguments that did not end up too pretty. Basically, he caused a whole storm and Rtil banning him was basically shutting the door from the draft coming in. (little metaphor there)

I hope Retro is doing well wherever he is. I know he posts on the SS forums a lot, and I heard that Retro got a job so he is pretty much too occupied to have time to even spend on the TBA forums, regardless of him being banned or not.

Really? That's awesome. Dan seems like a cool guy and his Flash movies were probably among the coolest on NG. You could never anticipate what is the next Flash f0d will be submitting and what it is about. His brain is creative as hell.

Sounds reasonable. I just noticed that almost all of Retro's posts are very sarcastic though. It's like he never said anything that he meant and just did it for the hell of it. Well, I mean, he got what he deserved if he was trying to provoke something.

I'm glad, Rtil, that you are making your own site clean and trying to weed out the morons who come here and talk shit. There's nothing wrong with criticism but when you start talking shit about people who are trying to make this community a more better, positive place, then it is time to go.

Also, why did he expect it or want it to be Star Syndicate 2.0? I don't see how this forum has much in common with the Star Syndicate boards. Sure, they both have members that mainly come from Newgrounds, and a fraction of TBA users probably have posted or were frequent members on the SS boards, but other than that I don't really see the connection or similarities.

I heard that he was on 4chan after he got booted from TBA, but he also got kicked out of 4chan too. So he only can use the new SS forums, which are headed by Lauch. As you said, mostly cynical nonsense is posted there and not even in the cool way.

Hey bro, if it's what is helping these forums be clean, efficient, and honestly, drama free, then it is good. The last thing this place needs is unnecessary drama. There are so many positive things we can accomplish, instead of posting cynical nonsense as what Retro did apparently.
