Tardigrade

I love the atmosphere of the second one. The relatively soft colours compliment it well. The last one's pretty interesting looking as well; it vaguely reminds me of some of Boris Artzybasheff's stuff, though I'm not entirely sure why. Still, grand work here, old boy.

i dont like tweening

quite a few

"He was shown the smallness and tinsel emptiness of the little Earth gods, with their petty, human interests and connections - their hatreds, rages, loves and vanities; their craving for praise and sacrifice and their demands for faiths contrary to reason and nature."

"...it stimulates the part of the brain called "shatners-bassoon", and that's the bit of the brain that deals with...time perception..."

rtil

is it for a game? looks like its' going to be a lot of work if you animate the whole thing

soup

nahh it was just practice with tweening

i will eventually be animating stuff for a 2d fighter game, but its all still planning and concepts at the moment hehe

i kind of vaguely understand quick movement

thats about it.

the ease was a little strange, i think the actual initial motion of a tripping over yourself type thing would be very quick, and then the part where you're like 'oh shit i'm falling on my face' is where you get that moment of humorous reaction. i think you got the latter part, and while the blurred frames are cool i think there are just too many of them. i could be totally wrong though, whenever i animate something like this it has been in a chibi form and happens pretty much instantly. i have yet to try it in more detail.

soup

i figured the only real humor was the surprise fall, so i drew i spent most of my time animating that whole charade

that being said, i understand what easing is but am very poor at actually implementing it. i also skimped on the frames and at 30fps i think it makes odd movement a lot more noticeable

also i lied all the girls featured here are dead

wow! really great curves.

the animation is nice too, i think that the blurred frames are kinda silly though, but everything still looks good.

soup

eyyy thank you kindly!

and yeh is it the shaky bit near the end? once id done the original it looked a bit too tame, so for me moving the lines about to create that kind of rumble effect livened it up a bit

but i think ill just stick in at trying to make it fluid instead, so the next time it doesnt look so silly haha
