thought i'd give you guys a shot at this stuff before i put it up on ebay or something. i have no use for these parts anymore. they work perfectly fine. i have used them for about 2 years.

i7-860 - 2.8ghz, 8mb cache. 1156 socket - they don't make these anymore and new ones can be expensive. i have overclocked this to 4ghz with no hitches. since it is used, i am selling it for $100. i'll even include an unused intel stock cooler - by all means a piece of junk, but it's better than nothing. i also have original packaging for i7's so it will be shipped nice and safe. this is still a really good i7 on a rare socket.

Sigma Shark 635w PSU - non-modular 635W power supply. nothing wrong with it, just don't need it anymore. i would say it's not worth more than $20. if you need to know the exact # and type of connections i can check, the newegg page might have them listed. standard ATX dimensions.

i'll give you guys a week , then i'm putting these out into the cruel world of online bidding where they will probably get more expensive than this. so get 'em while they're fresh!

I once hat a comrade in the army who was pretty fucking cute. Small, big glasses, high voice, blond, kinda looked like a young boy. Holy shit, fucking everyone in the battalion said that he was damn cute! And one of us kept teasing him for it, constantly telling him how goddamn cute he was. No one ever seriously picked on him tho... not even the drill sergeants...
I guess I've just been spending way too much time of my life on porn sites and my connotations of this wonderful word have completely been twisted into a rather horrible direction. Yes, I am a very horny and sexually frustrated man, so nevermind me when is comes to silly comments about sexuality.

i was under the impression that once you put a cpu in a motherboard its not really supposed to be taken out. no idea to what degree that actually matters though/if its even true.

rtil

umm never really heard that before, it's quite easy to remove a cpu from a motherboard and for that reason alone i would call bs on that. it's just like taking ram and putting it on another motherboard. as long as it is compatible i dont see the problem.

Greenkitten

rtil's CPU now with extra bent pins!

rtil

i have never bent a cpu pin. you have to be braindead to do that. it's not that hard to put a cpu in the right way. if it's going in the wrong way it won't even fit, that's when idiots try and jam it down and destroy it

BluPhoenix

i'll drink to that

after they both bought new laptops, my parents gave me the old shitty 2002 dell, in which i completely disassembled and put back together. good experiment- in troubleshooting, and helping me learn what made compies tick (starting the pc without ram, unfucking the compy's drivers caused by files from the heinous limewire(which i used to use a lot), etc.)

and in that process, i found that cpu's are practically indestructible to human hands. i've only bent a pin by smacking the old p4 chip into something- and even then, the damage wasn't permanent
