Wavves is "ehh" most of the time, but this is probably one of the few songs they have in which the messy production actually adds to the feel of the song instead of feeling like a slapped-on quality to make generic songwriting somewhat more interesting.

EDIT: this user knows nothing about songwriting so any opinions from her about what counts as "good or bad songwriting" should be discarded.
