I've never been heaps into hip hop except during my lame eminem phase when I was in primary school, but at some point in the past few years I came across hip hop that I genuinely think is great and will probably still love later on. And I'm slowly discovering more old and new groups/artists: CYNE, Common, Souls of Mischief, Cannibal Ox, Open Eagle Mike, MF DOOM, Nujabes, De La Soul, Fugees, Pedestrian, Passage, Why?, Young Fathers, A Tribe Called Quest, Hieroglyphics, Pharoahe Monch

The ability we have these days to discover and listen to all the music that exists due to the internet is a beautiful thing.

Souls of Mischief - 93' Til

ALSO, does anyone use Plug.dj?
99% of the rooms seem to be horrible, but I found one that's actually worth listening in to if you like the type of music.

I listened to that Genesis album, wop. It was good. It makes me want to check out their Patrick Bateman-core stuff.

Do you like Canterbury scene?
Soft Machine - Moon In June
It's probably the most untrendy music imaginable but that's why I love it. Definitely my favorite prog subgenre along with Krautrock and RIO.

There is like a record label/store near me that sells and produces music very similar to this stuff. :D

Kind of has a Sigur Ros thing going on. I'm tempted to download the OST, but I think I'll experience it with the show a bit first.

Coincidentally, Sigur Ros' first album IS called Von.
