go to japan

that's a pretty abysmal goal but oh well if you absolutely MUST go to a radioactive hellhole full of mutant freaks i guess that's up to you

oh leave him alone, he just wants to be a great mangaka like his ancestors before him!!

nah i just want to go to japan without any real ulterior motives

why is that always so hard to believe

edit: i would've said travel the world but above all else i've always wanted to go to japan specifically, so i think that's enough of a reason to be on a bucket list.

Gonna Interject here.
I would totally take a trip to Japan if I had the extra cash.
Mostly because of the doujinshi convention called "Comic Market", But I would love to see both Tokyo, and Kyoto just for fun <3
Always had a soft spot for manga and history hehehe

If you don't like it, oh well. To each their own, I guess.
Welcome to the Fantasy Zone

I completely get it. I would love to travel to Japan as well, actually I'm currently trying to get a special duty assignment in Japan for at least 3 years and just get a feel for how it is over there, who knows I may want to just live there after my enlistment is up if I decide to just stay in for one term.

the only issue i can see is the language barrier. while japanese people do learn english in school, they usually don't have anyone to practice it with so it becomes poor quickly. and it's supposedly pretty difficult to learn. i have some friends who lived there for a while studying the language and they are at the literacy level of about a middle schooler.

japan has a pretty fucked up society anyway have fun living next to an unstable nuclear reactor

Sinitron

let's face it you're only going for the ANIME, that would be like zekey moving to chernobyl because that's where the stalker games were set which would be utterly fucking retarded (though admittedly far more hardcore)

CVG

To make an 80ft painting and hang it on the side of a skyscraper, to win an Eisner award, to publish at least 5 major graphic novels in my lifetime, to produce/direct an animated film staring my characters, to visit those hot springs in the himalayas and soak with some snow monkeys, to eat a steak of lion meat, to see one of my creations become a plush toy, to travel around the world and see as many countries as possible...

Sinitron

the order is a little scrambled but those are a little bit more legit than "going to japan for epic animes" or some other bullshit

That's not true for lion meat...its really a dish that is highly listed on the exotic animal list that only a few people ever get to eat, given the nature of them being endangered and are illegally poached so the price of the meat is high on the black market. but I heard of a small organization in Africa who bought some land and legally raise/breed a few lions a year JUST to make them into steak dinners for the people who want to eat the lions meat...its mostly for various tribal shaman who do it for cultural/ritual purposes but yes its available at a price for the outsider who can afford it. And this is a nice alternative because then there are less lions dying from black market demands and it keeps the wild populations safe too. The other option is to buy lion meat from various zoos or circus that sell it when the lion is too old and dies naturally but I tend to think an old lion will taste old and that a young hand-raised lion thats meant for steak is probably fresher and softer meat. The taste is described as similar to pork but richer and requires a slow cooking process to be tender and yummy.

And uh seeing as I have probably WAY too much info on this subject, you can probably tell that wasn't just a "I'm so random funny" desire on my bucket list heh....I really do plan to eat some lion in my lifetime if I ever get the chance lmao

have you tried kobe or wagyu beef cvg? considering you sound like a pretty big meat fan. that stuff melts in your mouth.
