Just commenting on whenever anybody offends the other over a misunderstanding on here just by how they perceive the tone of another's post. Actually, this just boils down to an obvious point. A lot of the time, typing on a forum or anything online for that matter isn't enough to really convey your point with paragraphs and paragraphs of disclaimers and shit. Conversation involves too many non-verbal cues to be easily conveyed through text. Seriously, I've gotten into too many fights over phone text just because of one very slight turn of phrase or something stupid like that. But yeah, non-verbal cues are like 50% of conversation, including inflection and shit yeah yeah not gettin enough of that typing online yadda yadda

i honestly think that if you type decently you'll make yourself understood to anyone who reads at least one book per year. with phone text you're just trying to get your point across with the least amount of words possible, so it's understandable for there to be a misunderstanding, but in a forum the blame falls on the reader or writer, not on the written language.
