I thought I'd make this the basic color scheme for my animation:

i like this one too: http://colorschemedesigner.com/#1732ow0w0w0w0

Color Scheme Designer's been linked on here before i think, but i think color schemes are pretty fun to play around with. Anyone have some appealing looking color schemes you've liked seeing/using?

I personally love sifting through colourlovers.com when I'm feeling rather uninspired (which is all the time)

Same here. I grab a few different pallets and drop them into my painting program and go nuts.  Though the site expanded into.....shapes? wtf? Now you can be like, This shape reminds me of a sail boat. +fav.

never seen this site before actually. when i think about color i usually decide first what kind of look i want - like do i want something washed out and earthy, or something super saturated and contrast. or if it's a painting, if the focal point will be done with color, and then of course the lighting can dictate the color as well if it's an outdoor environment. i think the best thing to do would be to play with color yourself on a palette in whatever you're working in.
