so in the irc a bunch of us decided we wanted to make another comic story project. we sort of tried this a million years ago and it was going pretty well before it crashed, but tba's a pretty different place now so i'm down to give it a shot again


1. the idea/guidelines:
* "collaborative" tba comic
* we're going to do a "main" plot, which will be passed around from person to person, and people can also make their own branch plots whenever they want. that way, people who don't want to wait for their turn can expand the story, and people who don't want to commit to making their own stories alone can join in on the passaround. anything goes
* you can take this as seriously as you want to and have fun with it, but just use a few rules as guidelines:
       - the challenge here is to keep the plot going forward. you can tell the passaround story (and obviously any other stories you make) however you want, but the minimum level of seriousness we should have is just "don't derail the plot". otherwise have fun son
       - the deadline for each pass for the passaround comic is currently 3 days. that means from the time the person before you finishes and you accept the pass, you have 3 days to get it done. deadline extensions could be acceptable but let's try to not do that too much without good reason
       - people can work together on their parts as long as they stay within the other rules. so artists and writers can team up in any way they want
       - for the most part if you're gonna make a character, at least try to contribute to the comic somehow as either an artist or a writer


2. theme:
* EDIT: basic setting we decided on (how all of the characters know each other) is going to be a support group "for the gifted". this doesn't mean the comic has to always take place there, because that would be really boring. (spoilers: the support group is actually run by some rich assholes who want to eradicate people with aforementioned powers/gifts before they get in control of their powers and realize they could take over the world)
* people can have "powers" or just general aptitudes/skill themes. try to pick at least one or the other
* generally, we decided that characters are going to be somewhat based on our tba personas. take that however you want


3. SIGNUPS:

--include some background info on your character (name etc), their power/aptitude/whatever and a basic drawing of their design. if you don't draw, ask around and see if someone else wants to! (if not we'll figure something out.)

True story


This is "Shida" (real name unimportant). She is a tea-addict who has a bit of a snarky streak about her. She likes to play tricks using her powers, and gets flustered when asked about age and weight (like most women). Quite booksmart and isn't afraid to show it.

She first realised she had powers when she kept short-circuiting electronic devices. At first she continually had a static charge that lead to such short circuiting and accidentally shocking people she came into contact with. As her powers have grown she can now keep the static charge under order (unless highly stressed) and manipulate electricity (lightning powers pew pew) and magnetic fields (think metallic objects levitating and whatnot). She also suspects she can alter gravity/the gravitational pull of objects, and is currently trying to develop that.

her name is ink and she is tired all the time because she can't control when the ink comes out of her mouth :c
the little ink monsters (inklings) run around causing mischief and she can't control them (yet)
She likes cats and bunnies, tea, sweet pastries, and drawing!

Dilly can use her singing to manipulate people into doing whatever she is singing about, whether she means to or not, she tending to sing all the time

She can also control the pitch and frequency in her voice to create sonic booms. This also allows her to stun enemies by causing them discomfort due to such high frequencies and have the ability to shatter glass.

She likes coffee, but too much milk can ruin her vocal chords, thus paralyzing her ability for a brief moment.
