I personally think it looks really interesting. Sure there are cameos (mostly to pander) but it IS a movie about a video game character who is sick of being the bad guy. With all the recent history and increasing popularity of video games since the 80s, it'd be silly not to actually have some proper characters in.

I really hope they make it into a real game at some point (ha ha ha). It reminds me of my fav childhood games :D

to me, it seems like a modern "who framed roger rabit", seeing as in that movie, WB, Disney, Hannah Barbara, etc. characters worked together and in this one it's SEGA, Nintendo, Capcom, etc.

I'll definitely watch it but i am not expecting too much depth in any character aside from the main one.
