Oh god the new episode is really great. It's pretty damn funny but not really exactly in the same humor other south park episodes are. You'll get what I mean when you see it.

Either way, I think part of it was, once again, about south park having changed but still trying to go back to its roots.

Well this was a really funny episode, although it just wasn't funny enough to carry on the 7 episode funny streak of season 9. The kids get tricked by two Whale narrator dorks who speak through some speakers and make it look like an Orca Whale is talking. The joke goes to 'South Park mode', and goes crazy, to where the boys of South Park devise a plan to partner with some Mexicans to ship an Orca to the moon, as the Whale supposedly told them that it was from the moon. Then the two dorky Whale narrators from the sea park have to try and stop them, but meet trouble with the A.L.F. (Animal Liberation Front). The ALF seems to believe the boys are shipping the whale to the ocean, until they find out in the very end. This was a pretty funny episode, but I didn't quite think it aided in the Greatest funny episode streak of south park during Season 9.

saw the 'faith hilling' episode last night, thought it was some of the funniest stuff i've seen on sp in a while

I think that there is a new standard for how good South Park is. If I had seen that episode a few years ago, I would have called it the worst south park episode ever, but now it's just a little off. I still enjoyed it, though, I've learned to love the new south park.

it seems like any time south park dedicates an episode to a monster they create, it's always bad and unfunny (i.e. manbearpig)

except manbearpig/al gore episodes are actually funny

and i thought tonight's episode was much much better. loved the subtle (and not so subtle) rips on kony 2012. plus it's a butters episode

also really liked the episode, the song at the end is actually pretty catchy.

The music video they made was actually a parody (as far as format goes) of some music video a real school made... can't remember what it's called though
