fyi, these people were already that way to begin with. socially dysfunctional people with a wide array of different issues, and awkwardness so exacerbated that they'll be lucky to survive in the real world. the community they've formed is just a way for them to cope and be with like-minded people with the same problems who won't judge them.

and that community just so happens to be the fandom of my little pony.

ten years from now, it will be something else.

all things considered, just be glad 4chan didn't choose something that's actually enjoyable to watch as the center of its in-joke circle. the only way this brony thing could be worse was if they were obsessing over, i don't know, adventure time or something.

funzop

adventure time is just sort of boring now imo. like its acceptable and all but not often really funny. not terribly unfunny and grating, just it sorta thinks its more amusing than it is

redmongoose

ok fine what I meant to say was who knew such an awful spectrum of person would convene around bratz dolls in horse form supplemented by a flash cartoon produced by craig mccrackens wife geez

do u have a problem, bastard?!

at the end of the day though i'm still happy for lauren faust. after decades of working under craig's wing, nobody ever gave her credit for all the work she put into ppg and fosters, and mw&tgg never really took off.

although i'll wager most of her fans have no idea that she is craig's wife or that she worked on cats dont dance, ppg or fosters.. or ANYTHING before mlp. but whatever. she deserves the attention and the success.

While there seem to be some people who I kind of respect in general and who are probably not insane bastards but still consider themselves bronies, I don't really think that I can understand the hype... the masses of the male fandom on the internet is incredible and it amazes me that it has become something that people don't actually try to hide but rather use as a token of a status symbol.

The demography isn't really the one that the show is originally aiming to address, but that's not an uncommon phenomenon. Especially in animes it often occurs that certain Josei or Shoujo shows may also have many male followers, but to be honest, the borders between certain demography tags are often quite blurry in that area. Even I, although I usually prefer dark Seinen, sometimes end up checking out some Josei or Shoujo animes, mainly because of the good ratings, the high popularity or the nice visuals and I have made my fair share of good and bad experiences. In the beginning I even avoided everything that would just look kind of girlish and damn, I missed out!
I basically think that just that might be the point about the whole fandom... that simply a bunch of people have discovered that there are other forms of entertainment than just gory action and over the top comedy that they can enjoy and that this fascination is simplay supported by the sheer amount of people who started to declare it an exception in terms of unmanly or shameful things.

Finally, don't forget that there are always retards in any kind of fandom and if I would be stupid enough to be held back by such things, I would never have watched a couple of really good shows out there... unfortunately, however, it's just that especially the negative examples of certain fandoms often make the biggest impressions.

PinkleTank is 8-yr-old Pinkle and 9-yr-old Tank who front a full LIVE band that sounds great and has an UNBELIEVABLE live show. Tank sings, plays the guitar, and does the duckwalk all at the same time while Pinkle lays down the vocals and busts a move.

PinkleTank is not just a "Kids" band. Their songs appeal to everyone. The songs definitely have dual audience appeal, because parents and kids alike can definitely relate to the real-life and sometimes comical antics included in their music. Hoopty Doopty Mama, is a pop-type song that illustrates a day-in-the-life of a mother that surely loves her kids, and this song will most definitely get you tapping your toe. Rockin' Rapper and Rap Star Rock Freak are "rock meets rap"-type songs that lean more toward rock which have classic rock references in it that most kids won't "get" unless someone older explains it to them. Time Out is a pop song that explores the frustration of both kids and parents that comes along with disciplinary actions. These are just a few examples of why both parents and kids will love PinkleTank's music.
