I guess that's where Poe's law comes into play. Still, I have a hard time with stuff like this. A lot of people would see this as being justified, but it's kind of like the above complaints over that Avril Lavigne video. Cross-cultural social justice is really just imperialism. Homosexuality in Japan was traditionally considered a behavior, rather than a trait. Even if Nintendo is the most westernized/globalist publisher, it's really more that their not including a gameplay element in their children's game, rather than some systemic oppression of an established group.
