i guilt myself into not doing anything fun for a while until i get my stuff done, often leading to me getting my stuff done late and not actually having a lot of time for recreation and chilling later on

i only feel okay chilling when i've earned it, most procrastination for me isn't actually fun it's just kind of empty and gross-feeling

then again, sorry for that question

i feel like that needs a different term for it. on one hand, we have people who enjoy the time crunch of a super impending deadline. on the other hand, we have people who have a weak work ethic.

i think your procrastination is better than my procrastination.

That's cause he's got like a level 42 procrastination. Like me, I need to finish this picture I was doing and I was suppose to post it on Saturday, but I'm stumped sooooo yeah.

it's human nature to try to 'please yourself' in any way as often as socially accepted (the last part is not human nature, just drilled into us);

so of course, as often as possible.

I feel bad for expecting this not to be a topic about masturbation.

However, considering the comsumer's culture that we live in nowadays, I think the question should rather be 'when do you not please yourself' or first of all how exactly you define said 'pleasure'. I rarely buy things because I want to reward myself for an accomplishment but rather because I need or want them.

I moved into a flat which I regret because its fucking disgusting. The Kitchen is beyond redemption, So I eat out in bars, canteens, and where I can since Semptember.
So like that really. Everyone thinks I'm loaded, it's just that I don't go out, and spend the equivalent of $80-90 on alcohol like everyone else does.
So yeah that's about it.

I enjoy hastily working toward impending deadlines both because and despite my weak work ethic.

This thread could very well be about masturbation, I just opened up the topic to be more broad. Related:

If I don't feel I'm doing something productive, it's completely enjoyable for me.

I do go on walks and do other "frivolous" things like that often, but it's because they give me time to think more about work or an interesting topic in a quiet environment.
