That's how they react to a game that hasn't been released yet, a game that has close to no information aside from the name (what you said is not publicly stated by valve anywhere as far as i know). Trust me, valve knows what the fuck it's doing now. They didn't back with css, they have learned. Don't think that the greatest fps company is more stupid than a few kids online who play THEIR game. Valve consists of many gamers, so they know what gamers would want. It's just outright stupid to just assume pretty much everything you and the rest of the community is assuming. Especially with so little information revealed.

what i meant to say was that they've learned a LOT from tf2, portal and the likes. They've learned what their customers will like and what they won't like since the release of css. I'm not trying to say that they're unable to set something into the sand but I think that it's unlikely that they will.

just because your server count stops at that number does not mean every other server is false, it means your connection is not strong enough to reach any others

and again, failed as in valve getting the old players to convert to a new game, which most of them won't do. obviously, as I said before valve will get new players who didn't play cs before. counter strike was always about competitive gameplay and leagues. it's the reason it's still alive. back in the days when source and CZ came out (which is NOT an expansion pack, but a standalone game based on 1.6) valve tried to push these games on players via official leagues only having either of these two, and not updating and fixing 1.6 any more, which ended up with players boycotting and raging. In the end 1.6 came back again.

and that's the last thing i have to say about this

thats probably because it's not graphics-intensive or that it's still community driven, based in tourneys and such, hell, even goldeneye 007 still has tourneys. CZ is an expansion pack in the same way vr missions was for mgs, opposing fronts was for company of heroes, and how counter-strike is for half life. not requiring the original game based on the engine or content it derives from doesnt mean its standalone game

so their plan to make people forget 1.6 failed

i dont think valve intends for people to forget things that gave them money once

dying never struck me as a big deal but i usually stayed on the move anyway it's a lot harder to die when you aren't retarded unless you run into some random fag in which case it comes down to reaction time/size of your gun

i stopped playing CS though i mean i went to a LAN party when i was like 14 and curbstomped everyone and some 18-year old asshole flipped out and tried to beat me up WTF?? and the last time i fired it up i ended up on some dyke sex server which was like connected to a site called like uhhh ninja girl gamer or something and it was basically a webcam with two dykes playing CS and fingering eachother
