Well they rebooted the mess up called "Hulk" to The Incredible Hulk for the purpose of the avengers movie (vie watch after the credits xD) And yes. It is a trend and it gets more money!! xD

the spider-man movies were the only super hero movies i liked because they were creative and unique. clearly the product of a visionary director and powerful writing. i am certain i will hate this movie. no sam raimi + trying way too hard to be dark and serious

reminds me of when they remade Hulk recently, because the original was too creative, and exaggerated for fans.
So they made it dark, gritty/shitty with a dumb plot of a guy who wants to become like Hulk and then fight him for no reason whatsoever.

Except that remake didn't even try to be another origin story (except for a two minute origin sequence at the beginning to let you know it was a remake,) So this will be even worse.

I bet it will be the worst movie ever for its budget.

pretty much this. plus this movie and shitty sequels it will spawn would inevitably be compared to the already exising spiderman movies and always lose in comparsion.

I somehow dont get the spiderman vibe from this trailer and i think thats a bad thing.

Yes I'm talking about that piece of shit 2008 film, from the hit director of Clash of the titans remake, Transporter 1 and 2.

In fact remaking any film within the space of less than five years is stupid.

Edit: It's on an equal status to Batman and Robin except it had an even higher budget.

it's not really a remake, it's, as you already say, a different universe. Things have changed in the remake quite a bit. Same goes to spiderman without his bitch etc.
