Also, it seems the music was plagiarized. So, even tho they've changed the original jap bgms, to "new" one's, they'll change most of it back.

On another note, NGE pretty much did the same with james bond and other movie themes, and no one seems bothered by that.

that's a pity cause kid boo is one of my favorite dbz characters

yeah if anything dbz is better off without the buu saga. intentional or not, it makes sense for a 'better' version to end after the cell games.

the whole cell vs gohan thing was a perfect way to end the series, mainly cuz the torch had been passed to gohan and goku himself was dead for good (obviously the buu saga found a way around this, and it's full of even more stupid shit like that)

my thoughs exactly

altho i liked the buu saga with the whole relationship with satan and fat buu, the saga where goku is in the afterlife doing that tournament and basicly in the end where goku needs that spirit ball i liked that part alot cause you see alot of short cameos of old characters like nam, bora, tien shinhan & friends

its alot different than dragon ball but im sure you can like it, altough alot of characters like oolong, tien, yamcha and even roshi are pretty much becoming useless in dragon ball z since it focus more on the newer generation like goku´s son and shit

definitely, the dub is a million times better (with boy characters sounding like yknow actual kids instead of raspy high pitched chain smoking women)

also it cuts out all the shitty needless filler that they used to pad out the original version

i'm torn

kai definitely cuts out a ton of needless filler. but they censored some violence and the music sucks, which takes away a lot of what made me love the original funimation dub with the falconer music

but going back to the original dub with all the extra filler... it's almost unbearable how slow the series moves after the saiyan saga

although if you were watching it for the first time it might not be as bad, but it's still annoying

i wonder if there's a fan version of the funimation dub with filler cut

yeah not only plot wise but fight wise as well. there's so much reused footage and endless background shots (like last portion of the frieza fight that apparently lasts 'five minutes' but spans over 10 episodes)

the entire majin buu saga (except the first 'portion' of it before he appears) is excruciatingly slow and painful to watch, mainly cuz they keep getting all these cool powerups (super saiyan 3, fusion, mystic gohan whatever that was meant to be) and simply wasting time with them. thats kinda why i wouldn't have minded seeing a kai version but oh well
