So I got it yesterday, I hadn't actually been excited about (or even following) the game at all previous to its launch, as I've been burnt out on fps for a while now (outside of Borderlands). I could go on about how amazing it looks and how it holds up well in 3D as well but instead all im going to say is that the open combat environments and suit powers have really reminded me of the original Deus Ex which is still one of my favorite games to go back and play. Id probably go so far as to say it feels more like Deus Ex then its sequel Invisible War did actually. Anyone else planning on picking it up?

Got it on 360 by the way.

Gregly

My roommate is playing it

looks okay

Pants, the terrible

your welcome.

Abnormal

i did buy it and i do enjoy it very much. got it on ps3 though. open combat stuff was really unique and i've been hooked

billy

i got it on pc. first i played with the 360 gamepad so i could stream it, but after using the mouse and keyboard i must conclude that the game is way more fun that way, because it lets you improvise a lot more and act a lot quicker.

however after putting a few hours in i found it tedious like most shooters because pretty much all you're doing is shooting things in the head over and over again.

My li'l bro likes the game but fuck shooters

if thats all you're doing then you're playing it wrong

billy

yeah i'm doing a lot of stuff but what it all boils down to is different ways to shoot things in the head

or exploding barrels in the head

Gerkinman

I wish the barrels had targets painted on them so I could remember to shoot them

Flash

uhn i dont understand your complaint that first person shooters are about shooting enemies in their vulnerable points to kill them
i mean if you're saying the level design is repetitive and uninteresting, that's one thing, but the way you're putting it is just like complaining that RPGs are always about clicking through menus to select attacks

Abnormal

^^^ also have you never acted stealthy did you forget you can go invisible or something im not getting this

Gerkinman

Actually the only thing I keep forgetting is to hold down Y for grenades, it's the only game i've ever played to do this, I suppose it was necessary in order to keep the shoulder buttons clear for the suit powers.

Abnormal

yeah thats inconvenient but necessary

Double tap Y sorry...

Thats exactly what I mean!

Had the game bug out on me last night too, some guys got stuck in a door (they looked like something out of Garry's mod), which wouldn't let me out of a room, had to start again from the last check point, was gay.

billy

i'm doing the same boring shit that i do in every fps that's what i'm saying

bulletstorm at least made me think about maximizing my score with combos and environment hazards everywhere like a pinball machine. this is just some typical fps macho bullshit sorry. it's alright but i can't play for longer than an hour at a time before getting a bad case of the snoozes.

Abnormal

well ok that's your opinion and um ok thats good we all have opinions and this is a forum we're supposed to have them so

fatbadger

Great game but AI is dumb as shit. Last level not as good as I expected. No final boss or anything like that.

Sinitron

crysis is probably less terrible than borderlands but that's about it

Gerkinman

Starting to get into the multiplayer now, got bored of shooting the squids, they're not as interesting to fight as the humans. Multiplayer balancing seems a bit off because of the suit powers...

Hope you like snipers and sprinting, at least from my MP experience.
