Eh. It's not like there aren't any slower sections in the game. That, and it's up to players if they want to spreedrun levels or go at a slower pace. Also, Sonic 2 has a lot of scrapped zones. I know they're definitely planning on bringing Hidden Palace Zone but I wouldn't be surprised if Dust Hill and Wood Zone also made it into the game. There's also Genocide City/Cyber City Zone, Rock Zone, and Winter Zone, but so little is known about those zones that I doubt they'll ever get into the HD remake. Maybe Genocide City has a chance but I would be shocked if it got in.

sonic mechanics don't work in 3D. Also the 2D Sonic mechanics have never been as good as the 2D Mario mechanics and have always been about memorization rather than skill.

I don't really understand the purpose of fans remaking games in general. Unless your doing it for some weird college project or something, it really doesn't seem work it to me. If you want to take a game you really liked and improve on it in various ways, that I can get, but eh, whatever
