and this one is my very first try with oil pastels, i think it came out pretty swell

at first it was supposed to be some girl but i drifted from sketching to using pastels and i saw this girl with long black hair, so i drew it!
take a close look at it and tell me what you think it looks like

i really like the first one. you should try coloring it.

the bottom one has some cool elements but his shirt and pants are taking away from the design, they're too boring

i really love the details on the privateer's weapons and his devious facial expression, but his clothing doesn't look appropriate for a privateer. he looks more like a cowboy to me. He just needs more piratey things like tall boots, or a long colonial-looking cloak. otherwise tho, this looks pretty sweet ;D

privateer has some new cool stuff

for the portrait - don't outline noses. the only parts of the nose you should draw on a front view are the bottom. you can use shading to give the nose form and volume instead of line

ok so i've made an acrylic painting in school, and i've just finished it today and i wanna show you guys
as soon as i can get a good picture of it or something i'll post it up here and other sites

this is it.
i'm kinda glad how it turned out, for my first painting. plus it's going to be hung into the ceiling of my school for forever
although i think there are some depth issues, but overall i love it
also i didn't put mishka in there because i wanted the painting to introduce tick, but i guess i should have put mishka in there because it would express them as friends

the background is too close in color with the character, it's also a little strange looking. compositionally i don't think it fits with it. i think the painting would have been better with just the character !
