has it ever occurred to you that not everyone has a gorgeous 1080p monitor? show some humility WAC, I mean jeez.

Since 1080p videos aren't in perfect quality on YouTube, it would look extra excellent on smaller monitors. <_<

I disagree. It looks pretty bad in full screen mode and would definitely benefit from an HD treatment.

my point is that there's nothing more to see in HD. things like pixar movies and digital 3d films benefit from HD. shoddily drawn flash cartoons don't have much more to show. yeah, everything will be more crisp, but what the hell is the point? the only benefit will be getting rid of video artifacts.

There's a lot of things wrong with the animated series but with the high budget in mind, I just don't understand why he doesn't put the effort into putting it in HD. It just seems lazy.

Well this is rather disappointing, but I did have a feeling he was just getting the money to fund his frog in a suit shorts not kaboing TV....hence the reason I didn't donate. Oh well, on one hand I commend his ability to actually raise the money from his fans alone to make his shorts (not many artists can get that kind of support!), but on the other hand frog in a suit was very boring and I kind of bet that if he had done a kickstarter for just frog in a suit it wouldn't have passed. More fans/donors were probably interested in his independent animation TV site idea which was featured more prominently in the kickstarter... and so seeing the site looking like a wordpress is going to generate some backlash and suspicion to his requests for more cash going into the "website" which is more likely going into the frog show.

I think I might send him an email after he releases the second episode of FiaS. His site has so much potential but yet the current results are laughable. :/

My kickstarter backers knew that my main goal with the funds were to get some original episodes on the site to get some numbers ( viewers) in order to get some funding to develop other creators projects. So yes, the money went to the cartoons. ( Incidently, by the time Kickstarter took their cut, Amazon took their cut, $1000. worth of no shows, and thank you gift costs, we ended up with $8000. per episode, which the final episodes cost much more than that.) I'm tapped out financially to try and put more into the site itself, but I've always looked at it as work in progress. Due to some glitches, we are trying to get the indie and student showcase up.

Any business start up knows, the most important item is product. The episodes were the product. I did my best to get it to market to generate numbers. It's a simple site to do that. I could have taken funding from the outside that would have promised the money people to own everyone's series that aired there. I turned it down to have a go at it this way. I chose You Tube to start to generate more exposure at the start.

I could have taken Frog In A Suit to try and sell to any number of markets. I didn't need a site like this to do it. I put my show up to garner attention so that other series producers had an alternative if they wanted to find an audience for their show.

If we don't get anyone to watch these episodes, it's all moot anyway,because the site and the goals for it will have to go away.

if it was 8k per episode that's $24k because he produced 3 episodes.
