I too thought that it was rather clever.

It's like Ratatouille except nowhere near as worth watching....

you can't expect a tv segment to have the same quality as a hundred+ million dollar budget film with years of production to boot
anyway
it premiered last week on friday. it's about a little boy named chowder who lives with a hundred-some year old chef and his assistant . every episode they try to make some insane dish or chowder annoys the hell out of a certain character. it takes place in some fictional world and all the characters have pretty unique designs. the writing is probably the best part of it, as well as the art style. it's done all in flash (minus the backgrounds) with texture overlays.
that's chowder. he's a funny little guy
i hope it is successful, it's one of only a few watchable shows left on CN today. they need something to compete with spongebob. ever since 1999 nickelodeon has been kicking the crap out of CN, even though all their other cartoons - much less their live action garbage - is total crap. this probably isn't it, but hey i like it.

i just remember watching it and thinking "hey this isnt pissing me off wow"

aksi it was cool because the animation wasnt that bad unlike most cartoons done in flash

this actually seems to be animated just like any other show except in flash instead of paper
