Well I thought it started out with a nice sun rise and you added little things like moving clouds and color changes to the sky which was nice. The snoring dude was cute and how he jerked up with a smile was good but it sped by so fast. I think I missed a lot of those drawing frames because I had to watch maybe 3 times to see his expressions moved and changed... maybe you should have put it on 2's to let us see it longer. Same goes for the speed downstairs where I suspect that the "goop-flying" effect was used as a shortcut to getting around animating him running down the stairs haha. Then we get a split-second to figure out it's his birthday when he turns in glee from the happy birthday sign. I blinked and sort of missed that part because it cut away so quickly. A tiny bit more time would have been helpful.... so okay we see him running down to get his presents but haha why in the morning like Xmas? I guess that's not really an important point but I did wonder about it as I watched heh. So the kid finds the wrong CD...this part was nice, and I liked the way he kind of melted and his lips sagged to the floor . That was a good smooth little segment, but again very fast for some reason; like it could have been on twos or something so we don't miss that if we blink haha. I know of the FUUUUU face and know it's a popular meme which means it will have haters and fans I guess. I don't see it often enough because I don't actually follow memes too well, but the way others responded I'm guessing it's become an oversaturated joke now?? I didn't mind it since well yeah I've seen it like 3 or 4 times in passing from links on the irc chat and they made me laugh so yeah it was funny to me. Then the kid killing himself...hmm...I think this could have been funny if staged better. The way it sits now the audience doesn't get a chance to react to the darkness of the scene. I think some Spanish Flea or Benny Hill could really sell its corniness of "Oh Well guys he died! haha". But yeah it was a short, fun, and harmless animation. And I know what it's like to go long periods of time without posting a flash, so yeah you should be happy to have accomplished it!...haha even if it WAS a Justin Bieber cartoon of all things (I can't say I'm a fan haha gag!). In retrospect you could have used any hated pop artist and it wouldn't have really changed the final outcome, since the main plot was about a hard core rock kid and his clueless parents leading to his over-the-top reaction of suicide. Hopefully making this had a positive effect on your own initiatives, and motivates you to get out of your rut and back to making some more animations at the very least! ^^

This was the first time ive really tried animating fbf at 24fps, I usually do everything on doubles, I guess after working on telescope for so long, which is all doubles I felt the need to mix things up and try something different. Looking back on it now I know what you mean by moving really quickly, not just in pace, but the animation itself, still need to learn control I suppose.

Telescope has really dragged out, I mean im really trying to make it something special, something im proud of, and because of that its taking a massively long time to create. Thats not to say that the animation is smooth or anything like that, its more that the visual style, the vectoring of each frame is an incredibly pain staking process. It'll be finished some time this year I hope.
