I have a couple vhs tapes of the original series. case of the killer pizzas (the best) and some other episodes--I don't know if the actual series did or not, but the vhs tapes have live action segments at the beginning and end of each episode featuring this weirdo in his attic talking about whatever morals were learned in the story or something

although shredder is an alien for some reason and they made a few other weird changes i dunno if thats how things were in the original comic tho
