I'm Livin in the 21st Century

I started filling a tiny sketch page a day for myself and and and here it is and stuff
I really want to start digital work but I've still had no tablet pen to use
Also all I ever do are character designs so I started to try backgrounds I guess

These are really good J, fairly neat and cool style. At the start of the 2010 end of 2009 I was doing that and filling in a new page each day with sketches and drawings. It really helped me see how much I improve and change over like a month and even from day to day. The backgrounds are done just as well as the characters, I especially like the tree house.

All these are pretty coooll~

My favorites are the guitar dude and the elf. It kinda feels like there's more diversity going on shape-wise, and some energy(?) being given off in more directions, if it makes any sense. Like, they're less static than, say, the caveman, where the lines aims most of the energy down and in generally the same direction, whereas it's easier for me to imagine the guitar dude being "alive" because of his arm and his head give off the energy in different directions while still being cohesive.

I wish I knew what I was talking about and that I could draw arrows all over your pieces to show what I mean...

I'm liking this work. I think the desert/alien background could be a little more expanded because that's either a really small space ship or a big ass road
