So, I've been working on this idea for a sci-fi cartoon since around April of 2009. Since then, I've been working and re-working a script and playing with character design on and off for over a year. This show, if it ever gets off the ground, is going to be called Ursidae.

I recently finished what's going to be the opening to this cartoon, and this is the only place I felt comfortable posting it. It has certain flaws and wrinkles that have become obvious to me since I've been looking at it over and over, so I'll probably redo those bits when I get some free time. At any rate, I would be thankful for any suggestions on how to make this better.

Actually, this opening features a naked woman and a man getting his throat ripped out, so maybe this opening was just a bad idea altogether.

EDIT: I decided I wanted to make the opening a little more tasteful before putting it online. I mean, God, I don't even know what I was thinking.
this all reminds me of that dream, where you tried to run and you tried to scream, but your heavy feet, just dragged to the beat, of the world's slowest blues

All right then. Essestially, the plot revolves around a gigantic nuclear fallout shelter. Due to other plot threads that I'm keeping secret for now, making these gigantic shelters has become a priority for the US government. On the opening day for this shelter, thousands of people are allowed inside to test and critique its living conditions. But within a few hours time, people inside the shelter begin to change into massive, hulking zombies - people that have grown to twice their normal size and suddenly have a strange focus on killing people. Realizing the threat to the outside world that these creatures pose, the fallout shelter chooses to enclose the zombies inside its barriers until they can find a way to destroy them. To this end, scientists working in the shelter are forced to create guinea pigs on which to study the virus' effects. These guinea pigs are called the Ursidae.

The Ursidae in question are basically cartoon animals, but with the 'guinea pig' origin story to give them a reason to exist. I'll put up some more pictures of the characters once I have time to make better ones, but at the moment, this is what I have.

seems like a pretty cute art style for the subject matter you were talking about in your first post

It is a pretty anachronistic art style compared to the tone of the cartoon, but the characters don't stay cute for long.

Also, most of the human characters are butt-ugly to contrast.
