yeah i thought it was pretty good too but wasn't compelled to make a thread about it. i was actually sort of pleased its ratings were good for its premiere. jon benjamin is endlessly funny and yeah i'll keep watching it.

Bored me to death. I hate when characters talk so must that they have to explain their feelings out rather than reading it in the animation. Not to mention they all just stay in the same pose for long periods of time while the mouth animation gabs on and on and then they turn a head or lift an arm and put it down. Even faces of anger or shock consisted of moved eyebrows and that's it. I also didn't laugh at the jokes which consisted of zooming in on static faces and repeating a lame observation made earlier in the story "ex: "I remember the date 9/3 because 9 is divisible by 3" or lets have the kid use an extinguisher and do it 6 more times until it's so ridiculous the audience will either chuckle or groan or "Hey I dropped a pack of toothpicks lets count them guys" <-these are the jokes really. So yeah I'm passing on this cartoon sorry.

basically its even worse than home movies. its a radio show with pictures that enable it to make quick location changes

Better than Cleveland Show but not as pretty (that's saying alot). won't last a season.

i havent seen it.
but ive seen commercials/trailers from it and for some reason it feels to me like its the same "funny cartoon about a family" that im really not interested in anymore

AND as cvg mentioned, it also feels like it has that family guy disease where the entire scene resorts to mouth/arm animation wich I think is bullshit

family guy can actually get pretty heavy on the animation - but that doesn't change the fact that all the characters have terrible designs

the second episode was pretty funny, not as good as the pilot but i enjoyed it. yeah the character designs are bad but when watching it, it really doesn't bother me.
