Actually with the base of a really shittily obvious movie it could just go the other way. They used to just make fanfictions about things that never intended to have them (sonic, mario, shrek), but now they have a movie that's written like a fanfic, so with that to work on, they'll try to be more creative. next thing you know it, the next emily dickinson is a furry fanfic writer. Their literary works will be the icons of generations to come.

Maybe it's hard to believe now, but these things add up.
