Pet store fire near my house.....

"BUFFALO, NY - Buffalo Firefighters spent the early morning hours Wednesday battling two separate fires, one on Seneca Street, and the other on Sycamore. One of the buildings was home to a pet store. Buffalo Fire told the SPCA that none of the animals, which number around 150 survived....

The fire on Seneca Street took place in the upper of a two-story building. The fire was contained to the upstairs, and below housed a pet store. Firefighters worked tirelessly to rescue the animals and protect them from smoke inhalation, but could not...

Fire officials say a burning couch started the fire, and people inside the home tried to put out the flames on their own.

A demolition request will be filed by the fire department for the Sycamore property, after it endured more than $30,000 in damages"
