Practice. Then practice more. Its weird at first and not what you are used to, but look at it as an advantage, not a disability.

you'll get used to it. it has an advantage over paper - your hand isn't in the way.

took me forever to get used to my tablet because of the proportions thing. i started with a tiny tablet, so a small stroke on the pad looked like a huge stroke on the screen. it felt really awkward but you get used to it

eman i think you should stop drawing in flash
i drew exclusively in flash my first 6 months of owning a tablet because my hand was so shaky that i was unable to draw without flash's smoothing feature. using photoshop forced me to improve

I really need to quit flash for a while and let photoshop sort of take over. Theres so many cool things I see other people do with it but I cant help but close it every time because I know so little about the program that I get frustrated after 5 minutes of using it
Its a really terrible habit that Im trying to change

there's only two things you need to learn how to use in photoshop - brushes and layers. it's really not that difficult

I think its mostly because Im too focused on lineart (and Im not very good at that either) that I always avoid playing around with the brushes in photoshop.

Just practice with it. Took me about a day to get the hang of mine, although I do need a bigger tablet.
