I have had some shitty ipod headphones for about a year, I guess I didnt take too good of care of them.
Well anyways I got a new pair of headphones and after listening to old tunes I was able to hear things I couldn't
hear before Its like listening to a new song.
Anyone have had that happen before?
Its weird hearing the computer make clicks and shit, I had to turn the volume settings all the way down to...

fyi the reason you experience that is because more expensive headphones have a much higher frequency range and a much higher dynamic output, so obviously you can hear a much wider range of sound at lower volumes - i.e. sub bass (anything under 80 or so hz) and crisper highs (16000hz+)

i used to have a very nice set of sony's but i knocked them on the floor and they no longer work. being a music obsessionist, i couldn't live without any headphones at all, so i dug out an average phillips pair for the meantime being but once i've got some p's i got my eyes on these:
