Quite a lot, but it's not only past the point of no return, it's past the point where humanity has any chance of adapting to it or creating any technology that will enable survival.

So all I can or will do is live for myself, knowing that it's all out of my hands.

I give it a week before the supreme court justices he appoints roll back marriage equality.

We all lose. Well no, actually Trump's supporters do win, temporarily, but everyone else loses. I wonder how long until abortions are outlawed on a federal level at all stages, gay conversion camps are given federal funding, and laws like HB2 are accepted wholly by the feds? The first 100 days of his presidency are going to be a scary time, because there are no checks or balances anymore, the repubs run everything.
Yeah sort of like Dems did in '08, and Republicans still found ways to sabotage every move they made. Yes Republicans do have majority Senate rule, but only by one, not the 10 needed for virtual hegemony, and the House majority is by 18 less than the Dems won in '08. Yes the Supreme Court could potentially look a little scary but let's at least wait to see who the orange man actually appoints before unleashing the moral panic.

Don't fall for the scare mongering dude you're smarter than this. Gay conversion camps? Let's be real.

I mean, there's this statement from his site a while back, and he's never said anything to indicate that he's changed his beliefs:

• Congress should oppose any effort to put gay and lesbian relationships on an equal legal status with heterosexual marriage.

• Congress should oppose any effort to recognize homosexual's as a "discreet and insular minority" entitled to the protection of anti-discrimination laws similar to those extended to women and ethnic minorities.

• Congress should support the reauthorization of the Ryan White Care Act only after completion of an audit to ensure that federal dollars were no longer being given to organizations that celebrate and encourage the types of behaviors that facilitate the spreading of the HIV virus. Resources should be directed toward those institutions which provide assistance to those seeking to change their sexual behavior.

Now, "those institutions which provide assistance to those seeking to change their sexual behavior" = gay conversion camps. You might say "well, he only said that about people who want to change their own behavior", but there's the matter of minors here, who have no right not to go to therapy that their parents choose for them.

We were actually coming close to conversion camps being, if not outlawed, at least not considered legitimate therapy in the eyes of the law. If these camps are publicly supported by the Trump/Pence administration, then children can and will be forced to go to these camps by their parents, and one of the only things standing in parents' way, the high cost, will no longer be a factor due to government subsidies.

So please forgive my fear, because if this happens, my little sister is at risk due to my parents bigotry.

First of all I'd like to say fuck you, Mario Kart is amazing. Kart racers in general are, they're all the good bits of racing games distilled into a very easy-to-learn package so you can immediately focus on map knowledge, drafting, drifting, etc...
And the Mushroom Kingdom aesthetic is so singularly pure that I couldn't hate it if I wanted to. It's one of very few things that rests in that odd little place that's not overly saccharine but is still cheerful to an extreme.
Haha I don't hate Mario Kart or New Neo Nouveau Super Mario Bros. WiiDSU but I do think they're overplayed relative to the amount of alternatives there are, like the two you just mentioned. If I had to pick between MK and Sega All-Stars I'd pick the latter any day though. That's a very good defense of the Mushroom Kingdom but it still gives me a headache after so many years visiting the same locales. It's lost the magic it had in the SMW era.

Those games both look really rad though. Does RoR support local multiplayer on PS4? I have exactly one friend with an XBone so I'll get him to buy SpeedRunners.

Speaking of saccharine, Rainbow Cotton might be a good party game if everyone is pretty tipsy even though it's only 1-player, if only because it controls so poorly.

{Where did this video go? Will we ever find it again? Tune in next week to find out.}

Yeah RoR has local multiplayer on all systems. Both games are available for PC as well, so I'd just hook a computer up to the tv and pair controllers to it, playing off of Steam. Though that's because I'm poor and cheap, and it's definitely cheaper to do it that way.

That aside, Speedrunners is the most fun I've ever had playing a video game with a group. I'd describe the gameplay but I wouldn't be able to do it justice. Here's a video.

Also, (if you've unlocked certain artifacts, which you should have if you've ever played the game before), Risk of Rain is a fucking blast with a group. 2d roguelike platforming shooter with endless waves of enemies and colossal bosses.

Yeah, I know, but right now I'm broke as a motherfucker, those were $10, and I needed something. I fully recognize how bad they are though.

Best place is LaBrasca's, it's this little hole-in-the-wall family-owned pizza place sorta near downtown but not exactly, off behind some other businesses.

And my ideal pizza is either white + spinach + onions, or pep, bacon, sausage, and onions.

I've got a Binding of Isaac copy to give away if anyone wants it. NOTE: It's the original, not Rebirth. Also not Wrath of the Lamb.

Didn't put any specific shirt because that varies a lot, but Charles Nelson Reilly is a good substitute because his bold, almost tacky, garish sense of style shaped my tastes in fashion. Thanks mom and dad for watching reruns of Match Game on GSN when I was ~10.

Thread title says it all.

Earlier today in another discord I stumbled across a few people from TBA, whom I considered friends, talking about me, which would be fine except having been absent at that time, they were free to speak openly, and I discovered what they actually think of me.

This isn't the first time I've found out that people I considered to be my friends didn't actually care about me (though I can't fathom why. There are more entertaining "massive whiny fags" around), but it's as hurtful as ever. I suppose I'm living up to my reputation right now, aren't I? Oh well, it can't be helped.

Right now I'm not sure if I'm going to come back at all, but I'm definitely taking a week or 3 off.

For what it's worth, my time on TBA has been mostly good, and I wouldn't trade experiences like playing TF2 with Slack and Dust for 10 hours straight, snarking at shitty art on dA's front page, or any of our Risk of Rain sessions for anything; but right now I'm not sure if any of the supposed friendships I've made on here are real or just fully imagined.

I'm also wondering how many people here actually did consider me a friend or at least an acquaintance, but had that ruined by my self-hating, spamming idiocy.

I know I've alienated one person here by trying to hit on her for like a month, and then when it finally got through my thick skull that I had no chance in hell (for numerous reasons), and I tried just to be a friend, I ended up being clingy and spastic.

Anyway I'm rambling because there are a hundred things I want to say, but I can't figure how to get them out, so I guess I'll probably see some of you again at some point.

Edit: Also I've uninstalled Discord.

People said that about a certain.. other... videgame...that has since gone downhill.

Yeah but look how long that one lasted. Also Overwatch is its spiritual successor anyway, so that comparison is pretty apt.

Yeah but you forget I also have a distance attack. You know what sound waves do underwater? You'll be liquefied in that suit before you can even reach for your speargun.
