JV stuff is weird, but fun. When I read JTHM, I felt like I was reading exactly a third of a really good book, and it would make perfect sense just as soon as I read the other 2/3.

1. Yes.
2. I have no idea.
3. If you plan to show it to people who haven't heard of Foamy, you'd probably need to put some kind of explanation either before or after.
4. I'd proably make the reaper come to Foamy, although then you can't have that nice sailing scene. I dunno.
5. It was quite nice, though I still don't see what you've got against the little grey guy. Once again, you've managed to cross the dramatic with the mundane and make it funny. NOTE: do NOT offer the reaper a percentage discount when you want to buy his mercy. Lol!

My dad tried one of these once. He tried to play Zork (or some equivalent) with it. This is roughly what happened:

"Go west"

"You said 'Gold nest'. There is no nest here."

"No, go west."

"You said 'climb tree'. There is no tree here."

"Go west, damn you!"

"You said 'laugh'. You laugh and twirl your mustache."

"*sigh* Close window."

"You said 'go west'. You walk to the west and find a huge, yellow tree with no leaves on."

*My dad laughs, and so do I*

This (apart from a few particulars) actually happened.

He's trying to be funny.

He's succeeding, too, but we happen to be laughing at him, not with him. And it's only partly his fault.

I do his kind of thing, sometimes. I do a lot of stupid things and then I do one really smart thing that would have redeemed all the stupid things if it wasn't just percieved as part of the overall chaos of the aforementioned stupid things. I feel for you, Bortner, and I know you'll find some way to twist that into a weird sex joke.

BTW: If you guessed that I was very tired when I wrote this, you win a free cookie. An IMAGINARY cookie, which is the best kind 'cause you can make up the flavour. Yay.

*Backs away from the oncoming flamewar*

I quite like that there are no real "good guys" there; Double-dee, Jimmy and that crazy bald guy come close, but they all have dark sides and conflicting philosophies. And the biggest bad guy is (half of the time) the main character.

I always suspected I was a Martian . . .

I get along fairly well with my little sister. She can be annoying, but usually she's a lot of fun and laughs at all my crap jokes.

General / THOUGHT OF THE WEEK

My school has a really weird thingy called "Thought of the week". The "thoughts" are always bizzare, semicoherent, and optimistic. This is their first one:

"Success is just failure turned inside out."

WTF!?

As a protest against this, I've decided to put up some (more depressing and insane) thoughts of my own. Please feel free to contribute new ones. Everything below is an actual quote, and some of it is actually accurate.

"My pancreas attracts every other pancreas in the universe with a force proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the distance between." - Albert 'Weird Al' Yankovic.

"There are few problems that can't be solved by shooting them enough in the right places." - Dechs Rashart.

"Of course you should fight fire with fire. You should fight EVERYTHING with fire." - Anon.

"I am wiser than all Gods and scientists." - Gene Ray.

"It is best to treat high school like a prison sentence. Serve out the time the government requires of you, do what you have to in order to get through, and understand that nothing that happens there will affect you once you're out." - Anon.

"When you're being stalked by an angry mob with raspberries, the first thing to do is to release a tiger." - John Cleese.

"War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength." - Big Brother.

"If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face . . . Forever." - O'Brien.

"Wakka Wakka Wakka." - Pacman.

I like Zim too. It's annoying that the series was cancelled just as it was getting really good.
